What is PTO?

Picture
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) of District 103 is a volunteer-based non-profit organization focused on:
1. Promoting an environment in which every student has the opportunity to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
2. Promoting a close relationship between the home and the school, so that parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, and school administrators may cooperate in the education and enrichment of the students.
3. Bringing the community and school into closer contact, stimulating interest in and encouraging support for our schools.
4. Raising funds to support the objectives above.

What does it mean?

It means that PTO focuses on organizing parent-powered efforts to help our children learn in a fun, efficient and exciting environment. It also helps teachers achieve their educational goals through our various programs and events. PTO would not exist without the work of all the parents who get involved every year! We encourage our parents to commit their time, whether it is one hour a week or a month. No help is too small. There are so many opportunities, any helping hand will find something to help our children enjoy their school time even more.

I would like to help, but how?

As a parent, you can support PTO's programs and events in several ways - just take a look below. Whether you choose to help us financially or devote some spare time to our initiatives, PTO, teachers and our children will appreciate every input! And again, no help is too small!
